We are wrapping up a decade of war in two countries. We’ve lost thousands of great men and women in these battles, not to mention the countless battle deaths of the insurgency, regimes, and all the civilians caught in the crossfire. America and the rest of the world is, for the most part, not a big fan of what these wars have done to our families, our country, and our economy.

This post is a follow-up to a previous thought I had titled We Are the Internet. In that post, I touched on the concept that each individual connected to the internet is part of a larger organism, if you will. One that is constantly growing and learning.
Here, I am writing about the idea that we are all part of a larger collective consciousness, one that is made of billions of connections. At times, these connections seem arbitrary and miniscule. I listened to a podcast the other day that had Austin Kleon as a guest. In this podcast, they touched on a few good points that reminded me what creativity is all about. It compelled me to think “if I’m interested in trying to make money being creative, why don’t I have more money? When I have more money, why am I not more creative?”
This is probably going to offend a few people. I could care less, because those that it offends are the people that need it.
